The latest issue of RE:COM Magazine is now available!
This time, I ask one of my favorite comedians, Aparna Nancherla to tell me SOMETHING old, new, borrowed and blue.
That and lots of other amazing articles about comedy is available now at: http://www.recomedymagazine.com/.

So, I used to write for and help manage a Chicago-based, satire website called The Daily Blank.
The Daily Blank shut down.
Instead of crying about it, some of the writers from the old site said, “Fuck it. Let’s keep writing.”

I’ve mentioned the short film I did with Nick Vatterott, Josh Cheney and Matt Taylor before. It’s called dine & dash. Well, I just finished a website for the movie. Visit it, if you like!
Thanks!

Here is my latest bad proposal story (so bad, thank God I made it up).

My column, “Best of the Worst” proposals, debuted today on proposalmagazine.com.
It’s basically the worst proposals stories that I can imagine, although I will probably branch out and report on some real proposals that went awry.
Today’s column is:
Post-Op Proposal.
Hope you enjoy it and check out our other features on the site!

As a writer/creator, something from my life inspires nearly all of my creations from standup jokes to scripts.
My experience with The Girls Next Door (TV show about Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends) led me to conclude that Hef is a genius. He took what men want (naked women) and made a magazine about it. So I started [...]

I was doing some research on the relationship of Bill Cosby and his wife Camille for the website I started with my sister (www.proposalmagazine.com – check it out!). I found this article from The Beaver Country Times, dated April 16, 1968.
I was just as shocked as I’m sure you are to find the origin of [...]
